Contractor and Subcontractors

Eventually we found a system, our architect Klitzing Welsch and Associates, Inc. developed plans around it and construction was imminent. At the last minute, the “available immediately” brewing system became unavailable. Luckily, we found a replacement very similar to the original and construction began in July.

One of the brewery partners, Doug Rendleman was the Project Executive through his company A.J. Brown Construction Inc., the General Contractor. As with most projects, there were some surprises and learning opportunities but nothing our team of owners and subcontractors couldn’t handle. We’re very appreciative of all the great work they did; a short summary follows.

Guarantee Electrical Construction was the electrical subcontractor for the project. In addition to all of the general lighting and wiring for the building, they helped us figure out the wiring for our used, largely undocumented brewhouse equipment including the digital control panel, solenoid valves, steam boiler and cooling systems.

Air Comfort Service, Inc. was the HVAC subcontractor. They retrofitted our building with a modern heating and air conditioning system and helped us figure out the intricacies of the glycol cooling system used to keep our fermenters at just the right temperature.

The PDI Group, Inc. was the plumbing subcontractor. John Leach owner of Leach Painting Company was our painting subcontractor and investor. Budget Glass and Door Company was our glass subcontractor.

Massey Tuckpointing & Masonry was our brick subcontractor. They took on the challenge of opening a hole in the front of our building big enough to drive a forklift and our brewhouse equipment through.

In the bar area, you’re sure to notice the restored wood floors and the incredible brass topped bar. They are the work of Tony Prince Flooring and Arcdecor Fabrication respectively.

Last but not least, County Asphalt Paving Company, Inc. transformed the abandoned lot behind the building into a nice parking lot for our customers.
