Preconstruction Pictures
While the building was part of the Falstaff Brewery complex, it wasn’t directly involved in production so the space wasn’t originally designed to be a brewery or a pub for that matter. Finding a brewing system that 1) would fit into the building 2) could be layed out for efficient brewery operations and 3) could be integrated with the pub for a unique customer experience, all without major structural changes to the building, was the biggest challenge.
Transforming our building into the brewery and pub for Six Row Brewing Company began in earnest early in 2009. Prior to construction, the exterior of the building was in great shape.

The interior needed a lot of work. The electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems were largely missing. The walls and floor needed extensive repair or replacement.

The basement also needed extensive work to be transformed into a brewery cellar, most notably a walk-in cooler, floor drains and the glycol lines for the fermentation tanks were missing.
